About the Artist

Andrew has spent most of  his working career as a contracts and commercial manager in the UK  and now has a wide variety of experience in almost every sector of the construction industry and specializes in Risk Management, Procurement, Dispute Resolution and Avoidance.
More recently Andrew continued his work overseas in the Middle East in KSA and Qatar gaining valuable experience working on Hotels, Port Facilities, Red Sea  and other KSA Gigaprojects.

Andrew has always been interested in Art and has never attended any Art college of any kind. When starting out in the construction industry in the late 70s, a decorating firm working for a Quantity Surveying practice asked him to do a few Gouache  paintings  based on some sketches one lunchtime - a few paintings  later and the result was a fully funded trip to Greece for the summer of 1980!

He was interested in the art of Boris Vallejo and Frank Frazetta -  1970s leading Fantasy Artists and that of Roger Dean  - influenced by the album covers of the time.

In 2012, he ordered an airbrush (an Iwata HP Hi Line copy) and a compressor and began practising  airbrush and liked it so much invested in a Harder and Steenbeck Infinity 2 in 1. Further investment followed by attending  a few FoxyStudio advanced classes. It was then that he was introduced to the Iwata CM SB
